[00:00:00] Jeremiah: Hello, my fellow Terrestrials coming to you from an RV deep in the Carolina Mountains. Welcome to the What If They’re Wrong. Podcast, the podcast that wants you to question everything. Your reality is about to be shattered.
Hello and welcome back. This is Jeremiah. Host of the What If the Wrong Podcast. Today we’re gonna have a short episode, not your typical episode. There’s no interview today. Hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas and their holiday with their family. Hopefully you’re all safe Today we’re gonna get into something that I found interesting and I hope that you found it interesting as well.
And that is the most evil places around the world. I did some research, came up with some places that have local legend and lore that claims that they’re the most evil places. There is a lot more places than what I cover here, but I picked the ones that I found the most entertaining. So we’ll get into it.
I’ll start with the more in depth ones, and then I’ll switch over to ones that have a shorter like myth and legend and lore. So we’ll get started here. Most evil places in the world. Place number one. All right, so the first one we’re gonna get into, it’s probably a two-parter. It’s the same name, the Hellfire Club, but it’s two separate places and two separate gentlemen, or if I can loosely call them gentlemen.
So the first one is the Hellfire caves in the uk, and that was the Hellfire Club started by Francis Dash. And he would gather some people together and they would partake in prostitution in strange rituals. Some’s claim, satanic rituals, they created this club, the Hellfire Club. And this cave in the UK has carvings in the size of the inside of the cave that are of like screaming faces.
So it seems very satanic in nature. And of course with the name Hellfire Club. And then you also have all the way up in Ireland, the Hellfire Club hunting lodge that was built by William Connolly. He built this club for the people of the Hellfire Club, and they would gather there and do animal sacrifices, satanic rituals, murder, all kinds of stuff, is linked to this place.
Said to have a really negative aura about it. And then the second evil place in the world, it’s called The Door to Hell or Gates of Hell. It’s in Turkmenistan. This is a crater that’s in the ground that is constantly burning flames from boiling mud, and it formed in the seventies and it’s been burning ever since.
And there was a bunch of theories as to how this came about, including one where they said that the geologists set it on fire so that they wouldn’t spread methane gas. But no one really knows the true answer to that. So the door to hell is what it’s called cause it’s just constantly burning since the seventies, beginning of the seventies.
And a lot of people think it’s like a doorway to the underworld. Third evil place on the list, St. Boat Offs Church, I’m probably butchering the name, but St. Bot’s Church in the uk. Um, it’s in Lincolnshire. It was abandoned in the seventies. There is rumor and legend that a bunch of Satanic practices were performed there, animal sacrifices, dark rituals, all that stuff.
And the church is just abandoned and considered to be evil, and no one wants any part. Next on the list of Evil Places is one of my favorites. I don’t know why, it’s kind of weird. That is my favorite, but it is, and I’m gonna butcher the name, AKA Kajara Forest. It’s in Japan, it’s also known as the suicide forest.
I call it the suicide forest. I can’t pronounce that word, . So the suicide forest is a place that is at the foot of Mount Fuji, and there’s something about the place that lures and draws people in that want to commit suicide. And so many people have committed suicide there, that there is a sign at the entrance telling people to seek.
Or don’t enter. So there’s definitely something going on there. Um, they believe the place has been cursed since the 19th century, and that’s when they used to doen aside, which is like leaving elderly and sick people to die. , they would just leave them out in the forest to die. So they think it’s linked back to that and the negative energy just lingers and it lures people in.
But it’s definitely something that is happening over there. Number five, on the list of evil places around the world, we have Castle Haka. . That’s in Prague, Czech Republic, and the legend of this castle is that it was built by monks in order to cover the gateway to hell. They believe that the gateway to hell is located there.
They say in 8 78 AD a bizarre half man, half beast creature came out of the cave system there, or the mountain system, whatever. And, um, they built this church over it or this castle over it, and it’s supposed to guard this, um, gateway to hell. Also, little important fact here to add to the evilness of it, Adolf Hitler, it said that he has assigned his third in command general Reinhard Hydrick to the castle.
Kind of interesting, if you ask me. So now we’re gonna bring it back to my side of the world and we’re gonna go down to Kentucky. Well, for me it’s North, cause I live southern of that. But Kentucky has its own portal to hell, Bobby Mackey’s nightclub. They say that it’s built on top of a portal to. It has been called the most haunted nightclub in America by shows like Ghost Adventures and Ghost Hunters.
So it’s saying this nightclub was originally a slaughterhouse in the fifties, and they think that satanic Colts formed around the bloody pit in the basement. So you had a cultist in there. Uh, blood sacrifice type people, satanic rituals being performed there, it’s said to be haunted by the ghost of a 22 year old woman who was pregnant and her boyfriend and a friend.
They were all part of this occult group. They thought they could perform an abortion on her, and I think they ended up botching it and killing. . So there’s a lot of stuff going on around this, uh, place in Kentucky. Bobby Mackeys definitely considered one of the most evil places in the world. Number seven on the list really doesn’t need too much explanation, and that is Auschwitz, the concentration camp in Poland, I mean, we all pretty much know what happened there now, so it is considered one of the most evil places.
People who go there for ghost hunting and ghost tours and stuff say they can feel a negative presence there. They can also feel spirits of those who got killed in the concentration camps. So definitely a lot of spiritual energy around there. And um, it’s considered to be one of the most evil places of all time, making number eight on the list of most evil places in the world.
and I can’t pronounce this either, I’m sorry. I’m terrible at pronouncing things, but it’s in Mexico. It’s an island that has a bunch of dolls hanging from the trees like all over the place, and a lot of the dolls are broken or dismembered and they hang out there. There was a guy who lived there and he claimed that he saw this girl that died in the.
Right by the island and that her spirit haunts this island and he got these dolls and hung them up all around the island from the trees and stuff to um, keep her spirit at bay cuz I guess she was terrorizing the location. So it’s just a creepy looking, uh, thing now. It’s a Taurus attraction and it’s considered to be one of the evil places.
Or at least the creepy looking place, and I wanted to add it to the list. All right, number nine on the list. We have the catacombs in Paris, France, and you can go to these. My grandparents have been, I haven’t been, But you can definitely go and check this out. It’s not like hidden or a secret or anything.
There’s the bones and remains of around 6 million people in these ca combs just stacked up lining the walls, and it’s considered one of the most evil places in the world. It was said to be an overflow from 18th century cemeteries. But it’s still freaky and it’s considered to be an evil place for whatever reason.
And now we’re gonna head back to Japan. Hashima Island, Japan was once a coal mining island, but now it is just empty. It is a ghost town. They say if you go there, you can hear whispering and murmurs and ghosts talking Of the people who died there, that would definitely freak me. , so it’s up there on the list.
Next, we’ll go to the Czech Republic again. The SK ary says that there’s 40,000 to 70,000 skeletons and bones of people lining this church, this ossuary, and they have a chandelier there that is made of every bone in the human body. and the church just has a creepy look, and obviously if it’s creepy looking, it’s considered satanic and then also creepy to people.
So it’s considered to be an evil place. All right, so number 12 on the list. Evil places around the world. Velia Italy. It is an island around Greece and Italy, and it is where they put plague victims back in the day when the plague was hidden. And they say you can find bones everywhere on this little island.
And there is also a rumor that a psychic doctor got choked to death by unnatural forces. Unnatural forces, so definitely creepy. You can still find like bodies and skeletons and stuff there, uh, just dumped from all the plague victims. So they say there’s a lot of evil spirits there, a lot of spirits there.
And, uh, considered one of the evil places in the planet. So, and then we will take a trip over to Cambodia. Toll slang. I’m probably butchering that name. Like I said, I’m bad at it, but it was a school turned into a prison during the Cambodian regime, pole pot. And the killing fields. And the killing fields was many places.
It wasn’t just one field like you might think, but this school was definitely a big time thing. Uh, they said it was a huge like genocide ground. L lot of people got killed. I think it said 14,000 inmates got slaughtered there, murdered. Um, just brutal torture was done there. And so they say evil spirits still lurk, still, um, inhabit that area.
Lot of anguish, souls. So it’s considered one of the evil places in the world. You can visit the place if you want to. It’s still open to tourists to check it out, but it’s definitely has some bad juju going on around it. All right, now we’re gonna go to Africa and Togo aade Fetish Market, and it’s a voodoo fetish market.
And Voodoo is practiced there. Still to this day, Toga Africa and a lot of people who practice voodoo go to this market to buy things for their spells and their rituals and whatever you can see, severed monkey hands, any type of animal, skull, head, uh, hands. They just sell all that like weird stuff that, you know, quote unquote weird, just things for voodoo rituals.
And they say that you can crush up these bones that they sell and turn it into like a powder and then mix it with this drink thing, and it’s supposed to cure ailments and stuff. I don’t know, but. Definitely a weird looking market. Um, if you get a chance, go online and check it out. Togo Africa Fetish Market, um, definitely gives off a creepy vibe, but yeah, it’s big for voodoo and stuff, so it’s considered one of the evil places, uh, on the planet.
As you can tell, these evil places are all over the planet. It’s not just located in one area. And next we will go to India. India. This is a first for them, but evil place in India, and that is the Banar fort. They allow tourism to this fort to this day. But you’re not allowed to be there at nighttime. Will close it down and lock you off.
They won’t let you around until the sunlight comes out. The legend is a wizard called Zaya and a princess called Ratna. I’m butchering these names. I’m sorry. But it said that this wizard had a thing for this woman, and he made this oil concoction hoping that it would win her over. It did not work. So in his turmoil, in his failure, he cursed the place.
And they say that if you build a roof over the fort, that the whole fort will collapse because of the curse. And also that’s why you can’t be there at nighttime. It is considered to be an evil place. And like I said, they will not let you there at night. You have to wait till the daylight is up and then they will let you go through and tour it.
And now rounding off the list, number 16, the final evil place. We head to Australia and it’s the separate prison, port Arthur Australia. This prison is said to have housed Britain’s toughest criminals. This prison is said to have been very brutal in treatment to its inmates and the inmates to each other.
A lot of murders happen there, a lot of torture, and they say that you can still see hooded figures roaming the halls at night in the cells at night In this abandoned. . So it’s considered to be an evil place, one of the evil places in uh, Australia for sure. But it’s definitely on the list. Like I said, there is many more places that are considered evil around the world.
but these are the ones that stuck out to me, the ones that I wanted to cover. So you could definitely find more if you wanted to do some research on your own. But this is what I found. And like I said, it’s all around the world. There’s a lot of myths, a lot of legends, urban legends, a lot of superstition.
But who knows what’s real, what’s not, what is happening, what is not? But definitely a lot of links to satanism, cults, rituals, animal sacrifice, portals to hell, all these evil places or so deemed evil places they’re out there. And most of ’em you can actually go to and see for yourself, and I’m sure ghost hunters are on the case for these.
And, um, yeah, there’s also a few that I’ve seen that I haven’t covered that you’re not allowed to go to or is highly discouraged to go to. But like I said, I can only cover so much in this short episode. But yeah, hope you had a Merry Christmas and uh, hopefully this new year will be great. Got plans for the.
Lot of things I want to do, want to do more round tables, wanna do more solo episodes. I’m just starting to write a book that covers a lot of fringe topics, so I’m gonna be working on that. That’s gonna be a long process. So, yeah, I got a lot of good things coming. A lot of good guests gonna be getting a lot more guests on the show.
Gonna keep bringing out this amazing content, giving you the best or as best as I can do, and, um, we’re gonna have fun with it. So happy holidays. Happy New Year. Stay safe, stay wise, and remember question everything.
